Hope on the Horizon; Targeted Therapies in PD with Dr. Toni de Marcaida, Medical Director, of the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, David & Rhoda Chase Family Movement Disorders Center and Dr. David Dickoff, Neurology Specialist, Metropolitan Neurological Consultants, in Yonkers, NY
J. Antonelle de Marcaida, M.D. is the Medical Director of the Chase Family Movement Disorders Center of Hartford HealthCare and Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology. Under her leadership, the Chase Family Movement Disorders Center has grown from a single-center/single-doctor practice in Vernon, CT in November 2015, to the comprehensive fully integrated program that now exists in six locations all across the state and a team of ten of the most highly regarded Movement Disorders specialists in the region.
Dr. David J. Dickoff is is an experienced neurologist who graduated from Albany Medical College. He completed his residency in neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital and his neuromuscular fellowship at Columbia University. Dr. David has wide experience in dealing with the most complicated neurological problems. He makes a flexible appointments for his patient's convenience. His goal is to improve the lives of patients with neurological conditions and develop new and better therapies for the future. He is a multilinguistic neurologist who can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French fluently.
Our new PD CONNECT get-together, is aimed at breaking isolation and making connections. Our community can learn from each other while benefiting from the knowledge and guidance of our top professionals.
After welcoming our guests with a light buffet, we will have a panel discussion with plenty of time to exchange ideas with the doctors and get your questions answered. The importance of improving mental health, infusing life with the attitude of gratitude, and learning to keep a healthy body and healthy brain, will be a part of the discussion as we learn about new therapies and medications that we can look for in the near future and discover ways to understand how to keep balance in your life with PD.
We expect to have over 50 people in attendance and another 50 people via live streaming. A surprise performance will close the gathering. This event will take place in the Waterfall Lobby at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Suffern, NY on Thursday, June 29, 2023 and Thursday, November 2, 2023 both from 5:00-7:00pm
