Yuri Milshtein, Sensei, 3rd Degree Black Belt, began his official training in martial arts in 1987 at TSK United American Karate, in Central Nyack, NY. Over the next decade he competed at various martial arts tournaments and won numerous awards.

Over the years, Sensei Yuri took breaks from his training to fulfill his military duty obligations, as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Military Police Corp and for his scholastic studies at S.U.N.Y. Rockland, where he received an A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice and a Certificate of study in Emergency Medicine.

In May of 2003 he completed the Karate Instructor program at Long Island University School of Sport Sciences and continued his martial arts training, intensely, with the World Survival Hisardut Organization. After years of training and working as the program director and instructor, Sensei Yuri earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2009, and also received the title of Sensei, under Grandmaster Moti Horenstein.

Yuri is also certified as an instructor of Rock Steady Boxing, helping people with Parkinson’s improve their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum.

Alexander Tressor is a Jazz and Ballet Master who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2007. Susan Lust, Director, PWP, combines her background in dance, performance, teaching, technical production, and health-consciousness to serve as a Professional Performing Artist specializing in Dance and Movement Therapy.

Susan trained with David Leventhal and the Mark Morris Dance Group, at the Dance for PD program, and with Alex Kerten, author of “Goodbye Parkinson’s, Hello Life,” becoming certified as a Gyro-Kinetics Movement and Behavior Therapist. She has integrated her experience in yoga, ballet, theater, modern and ethnic dance to inspire and bring joy to people with movement and cognitive challenges of all ages as well as able bodied seniors.

Cecilia Fontanesi is a dancer, aerialist, contact improviser, movement analyst, dance/movement therapist and neuroscientist. She graduated from the Laban / Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies (LIMS, New York) where she currently teaches as Core Faculty. In 2015, she co-founded the collective of dancers Parcon NYC, dedicated to exploring the relationship with the environment through movement and social reflection. Since 2016, she works as a dance/movement therapist with people with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and dementias. In 2017, she started serving as Artistic Director Associate for the IDACO (Italian DAnce COnnection) festival in NYC. Cecilia completed a Ph.D. in Neuroscience on Dance for Parkinson’s at the Graduate Center (CUNY, New York).
